- The following appeared on 12 September 1914 in The Plaindealer: Thomas Craig died at his home, on East William street, Wednesday afternoon, following a few hours illness, from acute indigestion. Mr. Craig was born in Ballymote, County of Sligo, Ireland, 74 years ago. He came to this village when a young man and has plied his trade, a shoemaker, ever since. He was twice married, first to Sarah Faucett, and his second was Mrs. Maria Sutherland. He is survived by an adopted daughter, Mrs. Harry Hyer of Buffalo, and a sister, Miss Elizabeth Craig of this village. Mr. Craig was an old member of the local Masonic lodge and his funeral will be held under their auspicies at St. Thomas' church tomorrow afternoon at 2:30.

The funeral of Mr. Hyer will be held under the auspices of Erie Lodge No. 161, F. & A. M.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. John Groth, pastor of the Parkside Lutheran church, at Forest Law crematory.
Mr. Hyer was born in Chippawa, Ont. He studied music throughout his life, and was a member at various times of prominent bands. He traveled extensively thought the United States with minstrel troupes and bands, and twenty-five years ago organized Hyer's Marine band, which he directed until lately.
He was for forty years a resident of Buffalo, and was a charter member of Buffalo Lodge No. 43 of the Musicians' union. He is survived by his widow, and by his daughter, mrs. Walter Rohrbacker, who live at No. 143 Wakefield avenue. - Sophia Craig died on 20 March 1929 at age 64 in Buffalo, Erie County, New York.
- Her remains were cremated at Forest Lawn, but the cemetery has no record of her burial there.

Y; grandmother of Ruth Rohrbacher. Funeral from the family residence, 124 Wakefield avenue, Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Friends invited. Deceased was a member of Naomi Chapter, No. 102, O. E. S., and Buffalo Court, No. 35, Order of Amaranth. Burial under auspices of Naomi Chapter.
