• He and Louis Weiler witnessed the marriage of Margaretha Sippel and Balthasar Weiler on 1 May 1864 in Niagara Falls, New York, at Zion Lutheran Church.
• Valentin Sippel and Maria Kreuger appeared in the New York state census of 1 June 1865 in Niagara, New York. Other members of the household included Henry Sippel. Also boarding in the household was wheelwright Henry Sipton (age 22.)

• He was a sponsor at the baptism/christening of Emma Margaretha Weiler on 8 April 1877 at Zion Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls, New York.
• Valentin Sippel died on 13 August 1879 at age 44 in Suspension Bridge, New York, of Cholera morbus.
• Maria Kreuger became a widow at his death.
• The following appeared on 13 August 1879 in The Niagara Falls Gazette: Valentine Sipple, a well known resident of Suspension Bridge, died early this morning after a brief illness.
• Perhaps John Sippel and Henry Sippel were brothers of Margaretha and Valentin Sippel. And probably there was a brother Leopold, born about 1849, of John and Henry.
