- John Sippel was born circa 1833 in Germany.
- He married Josephine (?) say 1858.
- He was a wagon maker, according to the 1860 census.
- Perhaps John Sippel and Henry Sippel were brothers of Margaretha and Valentin Sippel. And probably there was a brother Leopold, born about 1849, of John and Henry.
