  • The following appeared on 29 May 1931 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: The will of Mrs. Philomena Mayle, well known Falls woman, who died here May 9, was filed for probate with County Judge-surrogate William A. Gold, in surrogate's court, at City Hall, today, and Albert T. and Grace J. Mayle, son and daughter of the decedent, were named executors.
         According to the terms of the will, the estate, consisting of $10,000 and upwards personal property, will be divided equally among the sons and daughters and one grandson of Mrs. Mayle. These are, besides the executors, Elizabeth M. Hall, E. H. Mayle, Edith Kaiser, of this city; George W. Mayle, Los Angeles, California; Matilda E. Leonhardt, North Tonawanda; Francis C. Mayle, Newark, N. J., and George W. Homer, San Antonio, Texas, the grandson. A codicil to the will bequeaths the household furniture of the decedent to Grace Mayle and gives her the use of the family home until sold by the executors.

         Born at Niagara Falls, Mrs. Leonhardt had lived here for 34 years.
         She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. G. Norris Miner; two brothers, Albert Mayle, Niagara Falls, Francis C. Mayle, Newark, N. J; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Kaiser, Niagara Falls, and Miss Grace Mayle, Newark, N. J. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
         Friends may call until noon Wednesday at the home of the daughter, Mrs. Miner, 115 Pine Woods Dr. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. at St. Mark's Church. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Niagara Falls.
