• Mary Ann Hazlett became a widow at the 18 January 1908 death of her husband George Lewis Tice.
• Mary Ann Hazlett appeared in the US federal census of 15 April 1910 in Buffalo, Erie County, New York, at 14 Lamont Place. Other members of the household included Sarah J. Laming and Margaret J. Hazlett.

He was found in the basement by fellow workmen. He died of a fractured skull.
