- He married Mary Ann Hazlett, daughter of Robert H. Hazlett and Sarah J. Laming, on 16 September 1884 in Walpole Township, Haldimand County, Ontario, Canada, by license, with Rev. John Wells officiating. Witnesses were her sister Martha Rebecca Haslett, Walpole, and his brother Henry Tice, Townsend.
