A life-long resident of Niagara Falls, she was the wife of the late Robert Ellis, who died in 1944.
She was the financial secretary for the Ladies Catholic Benevolent Association for more than 40 years, and was a member of the Ladies of Charity and the Altar and Rosary societies of Sacred Heart Church. She was a member of the War Widows of World War I and also worked on the Board of Elections at the Niagara Avenue fire hall for more than 40 years.
She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Fred (Rose) Masser, Lewiston; Mrs. John (Magdalene) [F]ocazio, and Mrs. Norman (Agnes) Kumm, both of this city. She is also survived by three brothers, Francis and Clarence Sporer, both of this city, and Brother David (Lawrence) O.F.M. of New York City.
Funeral services will be held at the Rhoney Funeral Home Friday at 9:45 a.m. and at the Sacred Heart Church at 10:30 a.m. The Altar and Rosary Society of Sacred Heart Church will meet at 8 p.m. Thusday to recite the Rosary. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will be present from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
