- Catharina Hock was born circa 1819 in Hessen-Darmstadt.
- Jacob Dexheimer and Catharina Hock arrived in the Port of New York on 13 May 1842, accompanied by Henry Gerlach, Anna Jung, Anton Dexheimer, Wilhelm Dexheimer and Philippe Koehler aboard the Havre Packet Ship Louis Philippe, identified as Jacque Dexheimer, age 24. [It is our hope to identify his fellow Rheinhessen emigrants, and to discover how they are connected.]

The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, this afternoon, at 2 o'clock, from her husband's residence, No. 1220 Marshall street. Interment at Mount Vernon Cemetery.
