- The following appeared on 26 June 1903 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: The wedding of Miss Louisa Hayes and Mr. Peter M. Wilson of Buffalo took place at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. J. Gorman, No. 751 Eighth Street, at 8:30 Wednesday evening. It was a very pretty affair, the house being handsomely decorated with smilax and potted plants. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. William Barrows, president of De Veaux College, who used the impressive English Services. Miss Maud Wilson a sister of the groom, was the bridesmaid, and Mr. Harry Hayes, brother of the bride, acted as best man. The bride wore a gown of champagne colored crepe de chene trimmed with Cluny lace. The bridesmaid wore a brown batiste over green taffeta, lace trimmings. The bridal procession came down the front stairway and was med at the arch of greens by the bride's brother[-in-law], Mr. Wright, who gave her away. An elaborate wedding feast followed the ceremony. The happy couple left at 9:15 for a trip to the Thousand Islands. They will be at home after July 10 at No. 751 Eighth Street.
