Neither this application, nor the application for a military grave marker, specifies Tolliver's date of death.
  • Although some family history researchers specify Charles Fletcher Brown as the father of Hugh Preston Brown, the evidence appears to indicate that Hugh actually was a son of Tolliver Alexander Brown, orphaned at an early age, and raised by Tolliver's unmarried nephew Charlie Brown.
