  • The following appeared on 10 April 1888 in The Macon Telegraph: By virtue of an order granted by the Honorable the Ordinary of Bibb county, Ga., I will sell before the court house door in Macon Ga., during the legal hours of sale, on Tuesday, the first day of May, 1888, to the highest bidder, one undivided half interest in and to the following lots or parcels of land, to-wit: Blocks numbers 15, 27, 42, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72 and 73, each of said blocks containing five acres, more or less, and lying within the corporate limits of the city of Brunswick, Glynn county, Ga., as will appear on a map of the lands of Chas. Day and Mrs. Annie E. Broom, [sic], as made from a survey of said land by Albert Ayres, in January, 1870. And also that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the city of Brunswick, and represented on the same map and survey by the following metes and bounds: Bounded on the East by Cockrane avenue, on the south by Roswel King's line of Town Commons, which separates said lot or parcel of land from lots owned by the Brunswick Land company, on the West by Albany street, and on the North by First street.
