- Pleasant G. Fennell was born circa 1852 in Alabama.
- Isham Harrison Fennell and Sarah Delia Key appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1860 in Seguin, Guadalupe County, Texas, and although the 16-year-old is identified as Francis M. Harrison, it appears that this was actually Isham Jr., born ten years after Francis in about 1843.. Other members of the household included Pleasant G. Fennell, Isham Harrison Fennell Jr., Margaret Emaline Rebecca Fennell, William P. Fennell, Elizabeth N. Fennell, Andrew J. Fennell, Hubbard Fennell, Thomas Fennell and Mary J. Fennell.
