Jefferson Judson Sprawls

Jefferson Judson Sprawls was born in June 1839 in Aiken County, South Carolina, near Aiken.
He served as a private with the 19th Louisiana Infantry, Company D, CSA. He enlisted 11 December 1861 at Camp Moore, Louisiana, was wounded at Dalton, Georgia, 6 May 1864, and was a prisoner of War paroled at Meridian, Mississippi, 13 May 1865.
He married Unknown (?) say 1871.
Jefferson Judson Sprawls appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1880 in Coushatta, Red River Parish, Louisiana, and also four servants.. Other members of the household included John F. Sprawls, William Jefferson Sprawls and Annie Bell Sprawls.
He was a lawyer, according to the 1880 census.
He married Cora Kent, daughter of Robert F. Kent and Lavonia F. Adams, on 30 June 1881 in Red River Parish, Louisiana.
Jefferson Judson Sprawls and Cora Kent appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1900 in Bienville Parish, Louisiana.
He was a farmer, according to the 1900 census.
His wife Cora Kent became a widow at his death.
Jefferson Judson Sprawls died in April 1905 at age 65.
