Sangster was vice-president of r. M. Gordon & Company, Houston wholesale grocers, for 20 years. Later he was manager of Schumacher company, wholesale grocers at Corpus Christi, before retiring six years ago and moving to Dallas. For two years he was president of the Grocers Alliance Association of Houston. Sangster was born at Navasota, Grimes County. He attended Southwestern University at Georgetown, where he pledged Kappa Sigma. He was a member of the Masons and the Knights of Pythias. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. at the Scott Funeral Home in Navasota. Sangster is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethlyn King Sangster; a daughter, Mrs. Walter Jordan of Fort Worth, a brother, Andrew Sangster of Navasota; a sister, Mrs. George Brooks of San Antonio, and two granddaughters.
