• William Henry Clark was born on 4 December 1824 in Alexandria, Rapides Parish, Louisiana.
• He married Adaline M. Williamson, daughter of William B. Williamson and Delilah (?), circa 1842.
• William Henry Clark and Adaline M. Williamson appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1850 in Polk County, Texas, living next door to Adaline's brother J. P. Williamson.
• William Henry Clark became a widower at the between 1852 and 1856 death of his wife Adaline M. Williamson.
• He married Eliza Florida Holliman on 1 May 1856 in San Jacinto County, Texas.
• William Henry Clark and Eliza Florida Holliman appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1860 in Coldspring, Polk County, Texas, and also Jones Glover, age 7, and overseer James McCormick (who later married Mary Clark), living next to Virginia Mitchell, half sister of William's first wife Adaline.. Other members of the household included Mary Clark, Charles Clark, Sarah Clark, Civility Clark and Texana Clark.
• He was a planter, according to the 1860 census.
• William Henry Clark and Eliza Florida Holliman appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1870 in Livingston, Polk County, Texas, and James Clark, age 18, which does not fit in with the family as seen in earlier censuses unless it is actually daughter Sarah.. Other members of the household included Civility Clark and Texana Clark.
• He was farming, according to the 1870 census.
• William Henry Clark died on 1 January 1896 at age 71 in San Jacinto County, Texas.
