  • She married John Clarke Ross, son of Lachlan Ross and Hannah Mather, say 1865.
  • John Clarke Ross and Jane (?) arrived circa 1867, accompanied by (?) Ross.
  • John Clarke Ross arrived in the Port of Galveston on 5 February 1867, accompanied by Jane (?) from Liverpool aboard the ship Havelock. He is identified on the passenger manifest as J. C. Rose, age 35, a farmer. The next passenger listed is Jane Rose, age 33. John's brother William was traveling on the same ship.
  • Jane (?) died say 1868 of fever, shortly after arriving in Texas.
  • Her husband John Clarke Ross became a widower at her death.
