• Mother: Elizabeth McCullers b. say 1776

• Unknown Son Wood was born circa 1802.
• Ashley Wood and Elizabeth McCullers appeared in the US federal census of 7 August 1820 in Wilcox County, Alabama. Other (counted but unnamed) members of the household apparently included Unknown Son Wood. Also in the household was one male under age 21, likely a son, apparently living two households away from his daughter Matilda Speight.
• While the presence of a male under age 21 in the 1820 census indicates that Ashley likely had a son, daughter Letitia's probate records state that she had no brother. It is not clear, however, whether she may have had a brother then deceased.
