- He married Ailsey Davis circa 1743 in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
- Elijah Teague died circa 1780 in Black Jack, Ninety-Six District (later Newberry County), South Carolina.
- According to family lore, he was killed by Tories near Black Jack, South Carolina, while serving in the Continental Army. An account of his murder is found in Quakers in the South Carolina Backcountry, Part 2: Bush River (Willard C. Heiss, Indianapolis: Indiana Quaker Records, 1969).
