James Venor Patterson

- James Venor Patterson was born on 13 December 1882.
- He married Carrie Louise Milligan, daughter of Thomas Fremont Milligan and Fannie Blanche Ward, on 22 December 1909 in Wise County, Texas, with Rev. W. C. Carver officiating.
- The following appeared on 24 December 1909 in the Wise County Messenger: Wedensday Afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Milligan, at Greenwood, Miss Carrie Louise Milligan and Mr. James Venor Patterson were married, Rev. W. C. Carver performing the ceremony. The couple were entertained Wednesday evening at the groom's parents home, quite a number of our towns-people gathering to congratulate Mr. and mrs. Patterson. These young people are well known here, having legion of friends and well wishers. Mr. Patterson is a son of Judge and mrs. J. W. Patterson. For the past year he has been located at Memphis, Texas, where he is engaged in the practice of law, being associated with Hugh D. Spencer, former county attorney of this county. Venor's bride is a charming young lady, a member of oneof the county's most prominent families. They will reside at Memphis. Messenger joins their many friends in wishing them health and happiness.
