- The following appeared in The Chenango Union: Miss Dorothy Mae Owens, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Paul Owens of South Plymouth, and Roland Elsworth English, son of Mrs. Genevieve English, Baltimore, were united in marriage Saturday, December 20, at the Lutheran Church in Baltimore. Dr. Lloyd Keller, pastor of the church, performed the double-ring ceremony, before the immediate family and close friends. [:CR;] Miss Lucy Owens, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and Russell English served his brother as best man. [:CR;] After January 1 they will reside at 12737 St. Paul's Street, Baltimore. [:CR;] The bride graduated from Norwich High School with the class of 1940 and was employed in the Chenango County National Bank and Trust Company for about three years. During the war she served as a cadet nurse and is employed at present at the Electric and Gas Company, Baltimore. The groom served in the navy for about three years and now is a student at the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore.
