The bride's parents gave a reception afterwards at their home. . . Assisting Mrs. May were Mesdames C. C. Pharr, jr., R. E. Dolman, P. C. Coulter, Joseph A. Dodson, jr., the Misses Nancy Louise Hammond and Phyllis McDermott. Mrs. E. A. Salmond presided at the punch bowl.
Among guests were the bridegroom's parents; his sister-in-law, Mrs. Eugene Tuckwiller, and daughter, Martha Jean of Fairmont; his grandmother, Mrs. David Tuckwiller of Lewisburg; his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Slater Tuckwiller of Lewisburg; the bride's aunt, Mrs. O. M. Pegues of Cheraw, S. C; her uncle, Mr. P. F. Hammond of Welch; another aunt, Mrs. M. C. Hammond of Bluefield; Mrs. R. J. Stephenson, jr., of Taylor, S. C; Dr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Weaver, jr., of Macon, Ga; Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Meadows and daughter, Ida Jane, of Beckley.
Young Mr. and Mrs. Tuckwiller left afterwards for a western trip of several days. . . . They will reside at 1597-A Virginia street.
Mrs. Tuckwiller attended Washington School for Secretaries and for the past four years has been employed by the law firm of Campbell, McClintic and James. Mr. Tuckwiller was graduated from West Virginia university and is associated with Lowry Dental Supplies. He is a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternith and has been residing with his uncle and aunt, Dr. and Mrs. R. D. Keightley of Lewis street. - Jennie Pegues May died on 19 November 1993 at age 74.
- Her husband Jesse Ray Tuckwiller Jr. became a widower at her death.
- She was interred at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church Cemetery, Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia.
