Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery, Winona, under the direction of Lee Funeral Home. Rev. Jones Hamilton of Greenwood had charge of graveside rites. [:CR;] Mrs. Bailey was born October 8, 1898, at Winona, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nick T. Pegues. She was a graduate of Mississippi State College for Women, Columbus, and taught in the elementary schools of Mississippi for a number of years and at Fairhope, Alabama, several years. She was a member of the Episcopal Church. [:CR;] Survivors include her husband, James P. Bailey; one sister, Mrs. C. C. Harvey, Winona; and five nephews, Clarence, Robert, Joseph and Malcolm Harvey, all of Baton Rouge, La., and Nicholas P. Harvey, Locust Valley, L. I., New York. [:CR;] Pallbearers were Billy Flowers, Kennedy Bryan, Jr., Joe Hunter, Lloyd K. Moore, Pete Whitehead and B. F. Heath.
