Jasper Deen Rayburn was born on 25 March 1886 in Hill County, Texas, according to his death certificate.
Charles Othaniles Rayburn appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1900 in Comanche, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory (later Oklahoma). Other members of the household included Jasper Deen Rayburn, Anna A. Rayburn and Mary Elizabeth (?). Also in the household were half-brothers Jesse J. Shelton (10) and William R. Shelton (12).
He was a farm laborer, according to the 1900 census.
He married Mary Emily Cook, daughter of John W. Cook Cook, on 7 January 1906 in Pickens (later Carter) County, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory (later Oklahoma), by license issued on the 4th, with Pastor A. B. Hughes officiating. Both bride and groom were residents of Robberson at the time of their marriage.
Jasper Deen Rayburn registered for the draft on 12 September 1918 in Garvin County, Oklahoma, while living with his wife Mary Emily in Stratford, employed there as a farmer.
At the time of his death, his usual residence was in Lubbock, Texas, at 1916 Fifth Street.
Jasper Deen Rayburn died on 18 August 1972 at age 86 in Lubbock, Texas, at Ray's Hospitality Home . His death was officially witnessed by Mary Emily Cook.
His wife Mary Emily Cook became a widow at his death.
He was interred at Lubbock City Cemetery, Lubbock, Texas.
