- Mary Burnett Sanders was born on 11 December 1915 in Flowella, Brooks County, Texas.
- The following appeared on 5 August 1937 in the Kerrville Mountain Sun: Kerville friends will be interested to learn that Miss Mary Burnett Sanders, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Sanders, has been elected as teacher in the primary department of the Pecos Public Schools. She recently received a degree in kindergarten and primary education from the Texas State College for Women in Denton.
- She married Robert Franklin Holcomb, son of Ernest L. Holcomb and Dora L. (?).
- The following appeared on 18 July 1940 in the Kerrville Mountain Sun: Miss Mary Sanders of Elmdorf was in Kerrville the first of the week for a visit with her aunt, Miss Mary Shipp Sanders, a teacher in the Southwestern University in Georgetown, who was at the Methodist Assembly as an instructor. Miss Sanders lived in Kerrville at one time and is now a teacher in the schools at Pecos. While here she also visited with mr. and Mrs. Fred Evertson and with Miss Bech Breihan.
- She officially witnessed the death of Samuel David Sanders on 12 June 1970 at Hill Top Nursing Home in Boerne, Kendall County, Texas.
- Mary Burnett Sanders died on 13 June 1979 at age 63 in Kendall County, Texas.
