• Ruth Williams was born on 30 July 1921 in Ganado, Jackson County, Texas.
• She married Nathaniel D. Baltrip, son of Harrison Baltrip and Mary Ann Scott.
• She officially witnessed the death of Nathaniel D. Baltrip on 15 November 1972 at Alvin Convalescent Center in Alvin, Brazoria County, Texas.
• Ruth Williams became a widow at the 15 November 1972 death of her husband Nathaniel D. Baltrip.
• The following appeared on 17 November 1972 in The Galveston Daily News: (Hitchcock) Funeral services for Nathaniel D. Baltrip, 65, a Hitchcock resident the past 19 years, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the New Macedonia Baptist Church, the Rev. A. L. Dickson officiating.
       Burial will follow in Mainland Memorial Cemetery, Hitchcock.
       Mr. Baltrip died Wednesday in the Alvin Convalescent Center. He was born Jan. 27, 1907, in Willis.
       He was a member of the new Macedonia Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II.
       Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruth Baltrip of Hitchcock; two sons, Nathaniel Robert Baltrip and Michael Wayne Baltrip, both of Hitchcock; a brother, Howard Baltrip of Houston; and three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Heard and Mrs. Sarah Bonner, both of Houston and Mrs. Ida Early of Conroe.
       Pallbearers will be Elisha Bryant, S. H. Deadrick, Ernest Mills, Steve Chatman, Louis Anderson and A. Wright.
       A wake service will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Lundy Mortuary. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday.

• She was interred at Mainland Memorial Cemetery, Hitchcock, Galveston County, Texas.
• The following appeared on 13 September 1989 in The Galveston Daily Nws: (Hitchcock) Ruth Baltrip, 68, of Hitchcock, died Sunday at Alvin Hospital in Alvin.
       Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at New Macedonia Baptist Church in Hitchcock. The Rev. M. J. Kimble will officiate. Burial will follow at Mainland Memorial Cemetery in Hitchcock.
       Visitation has been set for after 4 p.m. Friday at Luncy Mortuary. A wake will be held 7-8 p.m. Friday at Luncy Mortuary.
       Born July 30, 1921, in Ganado, Mrs. Baltrip was a housewife.
       Survivors include two sons, Robert Baltrip of La Marque, Michael Baltrip of Alvin; two brothers, Hebert Williams of Corpus Christi and B. T. Williams of Hitchcock; a sister, Ruth Edwards of Chicago, Ill; and two grandchildren.
       Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
       Memorials may be sent to Lundy Mortuary.
