• Irene Coulter was born on 16 August 1912 in Mississippi.
• She married William Jackson Abercrombie, son of James Holman Abercrombie and Sarah Louisa Davis, circa 1929.
• William Jackson Abercrombie and Irene Coulter appeared in the US federal census of 1 April 1940 in Shreveport, Caddo Parish, Louisiana, at 2607 Marion. In 1935 the family was living in Overton, Rusk County, Texas.
• Irene Coulter became a widow at the 26 February 1966 death of her husband William Jackson Abercrombie.
• Irene Coulter died on 11 December 1987 at age 75 in Denham Springs, Livingston Parish, Louisiana.
• She was interred at McDonald Baptist Church Cemetery, Joneesboro, Jackson Parish, Louisiana.
• The following appeared on 13 December 1987 in The Advocate: Died Friday, Dec. 11, 1987, at her residence in Denham Springs. She was 75. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and 8 a.m. to religious services at 9 a.m. Monday. Graveside services at McDonald's Baptist Church Cemetery, Jonesboro, at 3:30 p.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Ray Johnson. Survived by three daughters, Louise Cory, Lakeland, Fla., Linda Dixon and Kay Sullivan, both of Clemson, S.C; a son, Maurice Abercrombie, Tampa, Fla; a brother, Bo Coulter, Sandusky, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, William Jackson Abercrombie. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church, Denham Springs. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association, P.O.
