• James Holman Abercrombie and Sarah Louisa Davis appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1900 in Jackson Parish, Louisiana. Other members of the household included Leonard Lewis Abercrombie, Dixie Beatrice Abercrombie, Nina B. Abercrombie, Nona Myrtle Abercrombie, Ruby Agnes Abercrombie and Eric Talmage Abercrombie. Also in the household was a young male farm laborer.

Olive cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.
       The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Virgie Abercrombie; two sons, Dalton Abercrombie of Jonesboro and Talmadge Abercrombie of Cotton Valley; two brothers, L. L. Abercrombie of Jonesboro and W. J. Abercrombie of Baton Rouge; one sister, Mrs. Guy Brantley of Jonesboro and 4 grandchildren.
       Mr. Abercrombie died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon at his home.
       Pallbearers were Jimmy Clary, G. W. Treadway, Bud Robinson, Louis Miller, Bill Gatlin and Leonard Bosch.
