- Green Wooten Taylor and Martha (?) appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1850 in Montgomery County, Alabama. Other members of the household included Byron Ludwell Taylor, Martin Junius Taylor, Temperance Taylor and Eliza Taylor. Also in the household were manager Wm Murrell and teacher R. A. Monk.
- Martha (?) appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1860 in Halifax PO, Polk County, Texas, enumerated next to her son Martin and his family.. Other members of the household included Byron Ludwell Taylor. On the other side of Martin was J. F. Taylor, MD (age 22), whose identity is not yet known, but he was not enumerated in the Taylor household in 1850.
- He was attending school, according to the 1860 census.
- He married Charlotte King Jones on 3 July 1860 in Macon County, Alabama, with A. T. M. Handy officiating.. At the time of her marriage, she was the widow of William Whiting Adams..
- Byron Ludwell Taylor and Charlotte King Jones appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1870 in Livingston PO, Polk County, Texas. Other members of the household included Martha (?). Also in the household were children Florence (age 7), Lola (4) and Conway (2), not yet recorded.
- He was a farmer, according to the 1870 census.
- Byron Ludwell Taylor died on 27 June 1889 at age 53.
- His wife Charlotte King Jones became a widow at his death.
- He was interred at Moscow Cemetery, Moscow, Polk County, Texas.
