         Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery with the Rev. Werth Mayes officiating. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.
         Mr. Morgan was born Nov. 11, 1933, in Shidler, Okla., to Rexford R. and Mildred Stuart Morgan. He grew up in Phillips and attended Phillips School until 1949. He graduated from Ponca Military Academy in Ponca City, Okla., in 1952. He attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock and West Texas A&M University in Canyon.
         Mr. Morgan served in the Army from 1953 to 1955, and was stationed in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and Germany. He was a Baptist.
         In his young adult years, Mr. Morgan was a member of The Jaycees in Borger and Eastland, holding local and state offices. In later years, he was a member of Phillips Alumni Association and Ponca Military Academy Alumni Association, serving the latter organization on the Board of Directors of the PMA Educational and Charitable Trust.
          Mr. Morgan retired from TXU Corp. in 1991 after 26 years of service, primarily as a customer relations representative to oil field electricity customers in the Graham office.
         He married Patricia G. Carter Sikes on Feb. 28, 1998, in Santa Fe, N.M. They were residents of Amarillo.
         He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Shirley Reed and Helen Owens; and a grandson, Jared Searles.
         Survivors include his wife, Patricia; two sons, Rex Morgan III and wife Pamela of Buda and Steven R. Morgan and wife Belinda of Eastland; a daughter, Marla Kay Stanley and husband Terry of Fort Worth; two grandchildren, Rex Morgan IV of Austin and Allison Morgan of Victoria; a great-grandchild, Miles Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Morgan will be especially missed by the families of his wife’s five children, including Karen Pla, Linda Selzer, Mark Sikes, Susan Shelton and Diane Sikes, all of Maryland.
         Private visitation will be at the funeral home for the family.
         The family suggests memorials be to Ponca Military Academy Alumni Association, in care of Cliff Hayes, 6098 Pack Lane, Rogers, AR 72758.
