• Martha Walker Stanley was born on 17 September 1881 in Georgia.
• She was known as Mattie.
• Rollina Elizabeth Stanley appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1900 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia, at 57 East Ellis enumerated next door to Rolina's sister Henrietta Dull.. Other members of the household included Martha Walker Stanley, Jannet McCall Stanley, Thomas B. Branch and Mary Josey Stanley. Also in the household were five boarders.
• The following appeared on 25 October 1903 in The Atlanta Constitution: The wedding of Miss Mattie Walker Stanley and Mr. John Emanuel Branch, which will occur at the home of the bride Wednesday evening at X o'clock, is of social interest to their many friends.
       The ceremony will be solemnized by Rev. W. W. Landrum.
       The bride will wear a handsome gown of chiffon voile and will carry a bouquet of bride roses. Mrs. Charles Baldwin, of Madison, Ga., whose friends will remember as Miss Helen Douglas, and Miss Janet Stanley, sister of the bride, will be matron and maid of honor. They will both be gowned in white and carry white chrysanthemums. The bridesmaids, Misses Ethel Dull, Edith Gable and Sallie Branch, of Greensboro, Ga., will wear pink India silk and carry pink chrysanthemums. Mr. Henry Branch, of Greensboro, brother of the groom, will be best man.
       An elegant reception will follow the ceremony, to which several hundred guests have been invited.
       Miss Stanley is the youngest daughter of the late Ira E. Stanley. She is very pretty and popular, winning for herself scores of friends wherever she goes.
       Mr. Branch is prominent and well known in the railroad fraternity, holding the position of soliciting frieght agent of the Rick Island system.
       Mr. Branch and his bride will leave at 8:30 o'clock for an extended tour west and northwest.
• She married John Emanuel Branch, son of (?) Branch, on 28 October 1903 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia, with W. W. Landrum officiating.
• Thomas B. Branch and Mary Josey Stanley appeared in the US federal census of 15 April 1910 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia, at 155 Oglethorpe Avenue. Other members of the household included Martha Walker Stanley, Thonas B. Branch Jr., John Emanuel Branch, John Emanuel Branch Jr., Janet McCall Branch, Elizabeth (?) and Sarah R. Branch.
