She was the daughter of the late Robert and Madeline Keithley Fitz. She earned a B.A. degree in journalism from Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind., in 1952. She worked for General Telephone Co. of Indiana as editor of their state magazine. She married Arthur B. Wiggins of Uniontown, Pa., in June 1953. They resided in Melville, N.Y., for 17 years. From 1970 to 1981 she was the co-owner and co-manager of The South 40 KOA Campground, Prince George, Va. She was an active member of Southminster Presbyterian Church for many years, was active in Circle, Pastor's Aide and Bell Choir and was a Chesterfield County retired resident since 1982.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur B. Wiggins; two daughters, Sandra L. Wiggins of Richmond and Tracey L. Edwards and her husband, William B. Edwards, of Midlothian; and grandchildren, Melissa Hogarty and her husband, David A. Hogarty and Adam Edwards, both of Virginia.
Her remains rest at Bliley's - Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road, where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 7500 Hull Street Rd. Interment to follow at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Southminster Presbyterian Church or Campus Crusade for Christ, Orlando, Florida.
