• David Augustus Mitchell was born on 28 December 1915 in Alabama.

       Survivors include his wife, Wilda Mitchell of Foley; a son and daughter-in-law, Dudley and Verline Mitchell of Mobile; two daughters and a son-in-law, JoAnn Wells of Foley and Dorene and Joel Vickers of Mobile; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
       Graveside services were held March 20 at Pine Rest Memorial Park in Foley with the Rev. Stan Cruse officiating.
       Arrangements were made by Bayview Funeral Home in Foley.
