- The following appeared on 18 March 1919 in The Macon Daily Telegraph: Mrs. Emma Ragland Tinsley, wife of T. D. Tinsley, died Monday evening at 7 o'clock at the family residence on College street. Mrs. Tinsley sustained a severe fall about ten days ago from which she did not recover. She was improving until yesterday when she had a sudden change for the worse.
As Miss Emma Ragland of Columbus, she will be remembered by many of the older residents of that city. She was the youngest daughter of Col. Thomas Ragland for many years the owner of the Columbus Inquirer.
Besides her husband she leavesone son, Thomas Nisbet Tinsley, and three daughters, Mrs. Tracy Baxter, Miss Theo. Tinsley, and Mrs. Murrell G. Ross, also one grandson, John Tracy Baxter, and one granddaughter, Marcella Tinsley, also a large family connection. Teh funeral services will be held from Saint Paul's church this Tuesday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Funeral notice appears elsewhere.
