The land two miles South is Said by Genl Lewis to be poor pine land for twenty miles towards Houston, a new road passes through it. Genl Lewis Showed us Through the League of land. We saw the finest Black Prairie we have ever passed through, 400 or 500 Acres lying finely in one unbroken piece & 200 or more adjoining with only a Small Bottom between.
