Helen was born in Midway, Madison County to Elijah "Lige" Joseph and Ida Barrett Seale. The family later moved to Amarillo in the 1930's. She was a member of Midway Church of Christ and was an officer and caretaker of the Midway Cemetery Association for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands, Audrin Augustus "Jack" Phillips and Frederick Hayes Goree Sr; brothers, Allen Thomas Seale and William Joseph Seale; sisters, Angie Pearl Seale Dye, Ida Virginia "Virgie" Seale Goree.
Survivors include her son, William "Bill" Audrin (Louise Esther Holland) Phillips of Woodway, TX; sister-in-law, Lucille Goree Randolph of Houston; brother-in-law, William Langston Jr. (Raydoe) Goree of Houston; 2 step-sons, Frederick Hayes Jr. (Jewell) Goree of Bellaire, Frederick Dennis (Charlene) Goree of Crested Butte, CO; 2 step-daughters, Bette June Goree of Bellaire, Dana Lynne Goree of Crested Butte, CO; 2 granddaughters and 4 great-grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren and 16 step-great-grandchildren and one nephew.
Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Midway Church of Christ. Rev. Ralph Carter and Dr. Regan White will officiate. Burial will follow in the Midway Cemetery.
J. M. Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville is in charge of arrangements.
