  • The following appeared on 11 April 1907 in The Montgomery Advertiser: The remains of the late Charles J. Graff, the 25-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. George C. Graff of this city, who died in Hendersonville, N. C., after a long illness, were laid to rest yesterday. Mr. Graff left Montgomery for Hendersonville about a week ago, thinking to benefit his health by the changte of climate, but the change was Unavailing.
         The remains were shipped to Montgomery, and arrived here yesterday morning at 2:40 o'clock. The body was then taken to Robinson Springs, where interment was made in the family burying ground. Rev. W. M. Cox officiated at the services.
         The pall bearers were C. J. Fay, J. B. Beasley, R. M. Vandiver, John Vincentelli, Buford Martin, James O'Hara, J. P. Cornwell and Walter Brassell.
         Mr. Graff leaves a father and mother, two brothers, George C. Graff and Curby [sic] Graff, and two sisters, Mrs. Holt Hudson and Miss Lucile Graff.

  • The following appeared on 16 October 1908 in The Montgomery Advertiser: A quiet marriage was solemnized Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the home of Rev. W. M. Cox on North Hull street, when Miss Lucile Graff and Mr. Lowry Capelle were married, Rev. Mr. Cox officiating.
         The young couple was attended by Miss Louise Sharpe and Mr. Porter Watron, and shortly after the ceremony they left for Macon, Ga., where they go to visit relatives for a few days. When they return they will reside at 501 Dexter avenue.
         The bride wore a pretty traveling gown of gray cloth with hat to match. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Graff. Mr. Capelle is an employe of Louisville and Nashville Railroad.

  • The following appeared on 10 February 1922 in The Montgomery Advertiser: Mrs. Mary Lillian Graff died Thursday evening at 6:30 at her residence, 940 Adams street after an extended illness. She was 64 years old and had been a resident of Montgomery for 27 years, coming here from her former home in Wetumpka.
         Surviving are two sons: G. C. Graff, Jr., of Montgomery and K. S. Graff of Philadelphia. Two daughters, Mrs. Holt H. Hudson and Mrs. J. L. Chapell of Montgomery. Four sisters: Mrs. T. R. Sharpe and Mrs. Joseph Wright, Montgomery; Mrs. Fred Patterson and Mrs. Emera Parker of Birmingham besides a number of grandchildren.
         Funeral services will be announced later pending arrival of relatives.
