Mrs. Gamble was born in Wellington, Texas. She was a resident of Porterville for 56 years and a homemaker for 60 years. She owned and operated GW Chevrolet for 45 years. She was president of the Emblem Club and the Garden Club. She volunteered time to the Heart Association and Cancer Society.
Survivors include two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Gamble.

Arrangements are under the direction of Myers Funeral Service. - The following appeared on 25 December 2001 in The Fresno Bee: Services for Roxie Marcella Gamble, 88, of Porterville will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Myers Chapel. Mrs. Gamble, who owned and operated GW Chevrolet, died Monday. Remembrances may be sent to the donor's favorite charity.
