She was preceded in death by her parents, Kate Rountree Campbell and Archibald Rowland Campbell; her sister, Katherine Campbell Oliver and her brother, Archibald Rowland Campbell Jr. She is survived by her husband, James E. Gaughan of the home, her two daughters, Nancy Lee Peterson and son-in-law, Jerald Weldon Jackson of Galveston, Texas; and Kathleen Bridget Wagstaff and son-in-law Richard Hibbard Wagstaff III of Prairie Village, Kansas; son, James Eugene Gaughan Jr. of Columbus, Mississippi; her two sisters, Mary Lee Campbell Davis of Dickinson, Texas, and Nancy Campbell Martin of Galveston; her brother, Chesley Rountree Campbell of Galveston; two grandchildren, Carolyn Kate Peterson and Richard Hibbard Wagstaff IV, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 21, 2000, in Columbus, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2000, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Galveston, Texas. Memorials are suggested to a charity of Donor's choice or Kappa Alpha Theta sorority at the University of Texas. J. Levy & Bro.
