Two boys age 5-9, two girls age 0-4 and one age 5-9 may or may not have been of the immediate family. The woman age 50-59 may have been Elizabeth's mother.

Adams, Caledonia B. Adams, Daniel W. Adams, Alice R. Adams, John H. Adams, Elisha Berryman Adams, William Yancy Adams and David F. Adams.

• Howell Collier Adams and Julia Ann F. Ross appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1880 in Kaufman County, Texas. Other members of the household included John H. Adams.
• He was a retired physician, according to the 1880 census.
• Howell Collier Adams died on 10 December 1884 at age 66 in Kaufman County, Texas.
