• Rev. Edmund Talbot was born on 28 March 1767 in Virginia.
• He married Susannah Cawthon, daughter of William Cawthon and Judah (?), in 1809.
• Rev. Edmund Talbot became a widower at the 1843 death of his wife Susannah Cawthon.
• Rev. Edmund Talbot appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1850 in Henry County, Alabama, living alone.
• Rev. Edmund Talbot died in 1858 in Henry County, Alabama.
• Edmund Talbot was well known in the South as a Baptist preacher. He was the son of Matthew and brother of William Talbot. He was ordained in the Williamson’s Swamp Church in Washington County, Georgia and preached until his death in 1858 [See "The History of the Baptist Denomination in Georgia.].
