She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Simonson Sr., and granddaughter, Kelly Simonson. /P/ She is survived by two sons, Bob (Carol) and Rick (Joyce) Simonson; grandchildren, Jeff (Jennifer) Otwell, Cindy (Brandon) Matous, Eric Simonson, Sheri Simonson and Josh (Lee) Otwell, along with eight great grandchildren. /P/ She was a long time member of First United Methodist Church of Trussville and the Character Builders Sunday School Class. /P/ Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at First United Methodist Church of Trussville, where Mrs. Simonson will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Ridout's Trussville Chapel directing. /P/ The family would like to express their appreciation to the care givers from New Beacon Hospice for their special care and kindness.
