- The following appeared on 18 November 1881 in the Georgia Weekly Telegraph: Two marriages occurred yesterday afternoon at the neighboring village of Jeffersonville. The happy parties are Mr. George Z. Glover and Miss Jones, of Twiggs county, and Mr. Charles Nutting, of Macon, and Miss Peacock of Twiggs. Mr. Glover is a son of the late James Glover, who at the time of his death was a member of the Georgia Legislature, and Mr. Nutting is the only son of the Hon. Charles Nutting, who recently died in this city. The accomplshed brides belong to the first families of Twiggs county. The entire party reached this city yesterday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Glover are stopping at the Brown House, and Mr. and Mrs. Nutting are at the residence of Mrs. Charles Nutting.

Glover, 54 years old, died yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at Williams' sanitarium, after an illness of several months. /P/ Mr. Glover was extensively known all throughout middle Georgia, having been in the cotton warehouse business in Macon for a number of years and in which business he was considered an expert authority on cotton conditions. Before coming to Macon to engage in the cotton warehouse business with Sam Mayer, he was a prominent planter of Twiggs county. For the past several years he has been in the newspaper agency business under the firm name of W. N. & G. Z. Glover. /P/ Besides his wife he is survived by five children: Mrs. C. H. Withers, of Ettawa, Tenn; Mrs. W. H. Feagle, of Macon; J. B. Glover, of Dublin, and W. N. and George Glover, Jr., of Macon. /P/ The funeral will be held Sunday morning at 10 o'clock from his late residence, North avenue, North Macon, Rev. E. C. Dargan officiating.

- The following appeared on 23 August 1915 in The Macon Daily Telegraph: Attended by hundreds of sorrowing friends, the funeral of George Z. Glover was held yesterday morning at 10 o'clock from his late residence on North avenue, North Macon. Dr. E. C. Dargan, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiated. The interment followed in Riverside cemetery.
