Among the brave who fell in the battle of Chicamauga, on the 20th September, Was Willis W. Breazeal, Captain of the Sparks Guards, 20th Ga. Vols., in the 24th year of his age. . . . Among the first he hastened to his country's call, and after serving for three months with the "Jackson Artillery," joined the "Sparks Guards," which left Macon soon after for Richmond. Some unavoidably detention prevented their reaching Manassas to engage in the first battle, but afterwards they took part in all those great contests, which add to the pride and glory of the noblest of States. Through all the sufferings connected with the life of a good soldier he remained firm and constant, ever cheerful and willing to stand at his post. . . .
