- Joseph F. Haden and Susan A. (?) appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1850 in DeSoto Parish, Louisiana. Other members of the household included Mary F. Haden, Alford G. Haden and Joseph F. Haden. Also in the household was overseer Thomas Walten, age 23, living next to Joseph's mother and not far from his sister Rebecca Cole.Enumerator for the area was Thomas Whitaker Brodnax.
