  • He was proprietor of a shoemaker shop, according to the 1910 census.
  • He applied for a passport on 14 July 1914 while living in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee, at 1609 Lamar Avenue.
  • He arrived in the Port of New York on 22 August 1914, aboard the White Star Line SS Baltic, having departed Liverpool.
  • Carl Friedrich Menzer and Elenora Heinrich appeared in the US federal census of 1 January 1920 in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee, at 920 Roland Street. Other members of the household included Frederick John Menzer.
  • Carl Friedrich Menzer died on 19 April 1923 at age 50 in Arkadelphia, Clark County, Arkansas, or possibly 1928.
  • His wife Elenora Heinrich became a widow at his death.
  • He was interred at Memorial Park Cemetery, Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee.
