- Jackson J. M. Woodley appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1850 in Walker County, Texas, and Elvira Spear, age 11, not yet identified but possibly Jackson's half-sister, living next to Jackson's sister Elizabeth Spear.. Other members of the household included James Woodley, Mariah Woodley, Mildred Woodley, Thomas Woodley and Oscar Woodley.
