- Jasper C. DeArman and Amanda Haywood appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1870 in Oxford PO, Calhoun County, Alabama. Also iun the household were children John (age 17), Mary C. (15), Laura E. (13), Amanda C. (8), Hamilton (10), Agnes J. (4) and Cynthia L. (2). Enumerator for the area was Jasper's brother John.
- He was a farmer, according to the 1870 census.
- The following appeared on 9 February 1884 in The Jacksonville Republican: Jasper C. DeArman has been quite ill for nine days with spinal meningitis. Very little hope is entertained for his recovery.
- Jasper C. DeArman became a widower at the 1 February 1894 death of his wife Amanda Haywood.
- Jasper C. DeArman died on 6 January 1907 at age 77 in Calhoun County, Alabama.
