- Benjamin Scott Ogletree and Mary Ann Dupree appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1850 in Grimes County, Texas. Also in the household were a daughter H. R. J. A. S. (age 13) and 5-year-old twin girls L. D. P. and Merkeens (who appear to be Harriet R, Emma D., and Ella R., mentioned as nieces in the will of Mary Ann's brother Jesse Dupree). Also son J. M., and in the nearby household of Todd Williamson, A. S. Ogletree, age 11. All of the children born in South Carolina.

- Her husband Benjamin Scott Ogletree became a widower at her death.
