do give and grant unto my beloved Children and grand Children here after named the following negro slaves, viz.
to Simon Rives...slaves, Abbey Charly, Bella Tenda Indah, Kizzy and Abram. .etc. to my son Thomas Rives.... slaves, vie. Dafu, Patience, Coope,
David, Isaac and Sally...etc. To my grand Children Timothy Dupree Jesse Dupree Lewis Dupree and Mary Ann Dupree ....slaves, vie. Cynthia, Bob, Hannah, and Peter, Jenny the woman and her three children Chloe, Liza and Dolly the last (Dated 12 Oct. 1816) four are now in my possession and I
intend they shall remain so during my natural life (if they live)...and at my decease ... to be divided...etc...and Cynthia, Bob, Hannah and Peter together with their increase to be placed, under the direction of Major Francis Boykin for the only use and
behoof of the said before mentioned Grand Children and to be equally divided among them at the time their father's Estate is divided--- Also, I give to Nathaniel W. Stewart and his Wife, Mary Stewart during their natural lives three negro, Slaves Tabb, Cherry and
Child....and at their decease to be equally divided between Timothy Dupree Jesse Dupree, Lewis Dupree, and Mary Ann Dupree or those of them living. Also I give to Doctor John Mathis and his Wife Priscilla a negro girl named Winney and Stephen her child...etc.
