She married Thomas N. Shults in 1938 and supported his career while raising three sons. After spending 12 years in New Jersey, she returned to Fort Worth in 1959 when her husband was promoted to the presidency of Mid-Continent Supply Company. His business success was a joint venture in which she played a key role. Upon retirement, they divided their time between Green Valley, Arizona and Baja California, returning to take up full time residence in Cuero, Texas in 1988; her husband died in 1997. She was a world-class seamstress, big game fisherwoman, hostess, and Blackjack devotee. /P/ Survivors include sons, Thomas and Robert; sister, Anna; brother, Bill; and six grandchildren. A third son, Sidney, preceded her in death as did a seventh grandchild. /P/ A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced by Freund Funeral Home, Cuero (361) 275-2343. Remembrances may be made to the charity of your choice.
